Accessibility
Last updated 29 August 2026
We want ClubDock to work for everyone who needs it, including people using a screen reader, a keyboard alone, or a phone with large text.
How accessible we believe this is
We have built this website and the ClubDock app to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. To be straightforward about it: we have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we describe this as our intention and our practice rather than as certified conformance. We will publish the result when one has been carried out.
What we have done
- Everything works from a keyboard. Including the session calendar, which is navigable with the arrow keys and selectable with the space bar.
- Contrast is measured, not estimated. Text meets the 4.5:1 ratio, checked against the rendered pixels in a browser. Where a brand colour failed at text size we changed the colour rather than the standard.
- Colour is never the only signal. A place that is full, a payment that is overdue and a child marked absent all say so in words as well as in colour.
- Automated checks run on every screen as part of our tests, so a regression fails the build rather than reaching you.
- Motion respects your settings. If your device asks for reduced motion, the animation on this site stops.
- Built for a phone. Parent screens are designed for a small screen first, and the register is designed to be used one-handed at a door.
- Form fields are properly labelled, with errors described in text and associated with the field they belong to.
- No passwords to remember. Signing in uses a code sent to your email or a passkey, which removes a common barrier for people using password managers or assistive technology.
Where we know we fall short
- No independent audit yet. Automated checks catch a good proportion of problems but not all of them; some things only a person using assistive technology will find.
- Printable registers are PDFs, and while they carry proper text rather than images, they have not been tested with a screen reader.
- Some third-party pages are outside our control — Stripe's payment pages and Google's reCAPTCHA have their own accessibility statements.
Tell us when something does not work
If you meet a barrier — anywhere, however small — please tell us at support@clubdock.co.uk. Say what you were trying to do and what happened, and mention any assistive technology you use, which helps us reproduce it.
We will acknowledge within two working days and tell you what we intend to do. If something is stopping you from booking a place for your child, tell your club as well — they can take the booking directly while we fix it.
If you need information from ClubDock in a different format, ask and we will provide it.
Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission enforces the accessibility regulations. If you are unhappy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
